lol, I think my motor was beat on before I got it...I've never done a leakdown test / compression test / changed spark plugs / etc. I baselined my car pretty much without anything done to it by me. I know I cleaned out a crapload of gunk when I seafoamed it, so it's much stronger now, but it's running great right now, so I'm not going to futz with it until I have to. I'm almost at 80k miles, I'm going to go ahead and get some colder plugs when I get my exhaust, and have it re-tuned at that time, so look for me to be good bit closer to that 230 mark sometime in April

added a K&N FIPK and my peak jumped to 216whp, just an intake, I will tune my VAFC on my set-up tomorrow along with a 63mm single, then TP this weekend....

What? Didn't you baseline before in the low 200's? Or were you just baselining on the K&N dyno as it is a different dyno?

differant dyno, the last baseline I did, I just did 2 pulls. this time i did about 8 pulls and my car just kept getting stronger on the dyno and flatten out at about 211whp.

then we tested the FIPK just to make sure it is still making power. It made 215-216whp, over and over again, 7-10 across the powerband. I will post dyno's tomorrow.


right now I am still in the process of getting the 3 inch made, It really isnt that hard I am just to damn lazy.

I'm not just saying all this because I work for K&N, I was a serious doubter when I heard that you had tested it. so for the longest time I put off getting an intake for 8 months, even tho I could get one for next to nothing, but today I got it for free because of the testing we needed to do,

we compared it to the PRM.... lets just say the PRM Is NOT as bad as people say, It makes more power than stock. make only about 1-2 HP better than stock from 6-8.5k but from 8.5k -9k it makes a TAD more than the K&N< but from 6-k-8.5k the FIPK destroys the PRM.


I will have dyno sheets for everyone tomorrow, I'm going to re-tune my VAFC too. but I noticed my A/F's were Identical to stock after the Intake install, which were also Identical to my last baseline A/f.

So tomorrow I am going to baseline completely stock AGAIN, add the intake, Add 63mm single, then VAFC re-tune. then do the WHOLE thing over again when i get a TP or my 3inch made. I'm going thro all this hassle but I think it is VARY important to always get a baseline each day to really see the gains.......
