This was in my album. It shows you the template used for the mount:

Even though it would be a major faux pas to use the included side speakers, I mounted the panel with them just in case something ever happened to my receiver.
I mounted the included speaker/s (full-width unit attached below screen) because I don't want to run the receiver and everything just to watch regular tv. tho i have that setup in the harmony 880 as a separate option - tv w/receiver

I was looking for the :skip: in that, then realized you were just astounded by my statement

really, when the wife watches HGTV, she doesn't benefit from dolby digital surround sound, so why waste the electricity

Right... as you have 14,000 monitors going. And your current receiver has Dolby Pro Logic? It's that new?

ok, I managed to get Myer Emco to do $549 on the Pioneer VSX-80TXV... More than sufficient for my needs.

Nothing fantastic, but a good solid unit for a wife-approved price

now I'm tempted to try and run 2 more rear channel speakers

ok, i apparently spoke too soon... back into the fray with my receiver choices. This one is going back - it only does HDMI SWITCHING, but doesn't actually pull the audio from the HDMI - which is the only way to get the HD audio off the discs

I should have just gone with my first inclination and gotten the HTR6090

The Pioneer is going back tomorrow... Grrr... pisses me off! I've ordered the HTR online from B&H, which had a good price and I had a $75 gift card from xmas to help pay for it.

Stupid stupid ... i'm SO done with all this A/V research crap. DONE, I TELL YOU! This is the last piece I'm buying and the last piece I should NEED to buy to "complete" this system for at least 5 years.

If it helps, I have the JVC RXD-702B which has a 2 -> 1 HDMI switch and supports pulling Dolby Digital EX (7.1 Matrixed) and DTS ES Discrete (7.1) over HDMI, and also supports 7.1 PCM (which is what an HDDVD or BluRay player would use until Dolby Digital TrueHD and DTS HD receivers).

Its not really a "normal" receiver, it uses a digital amp so its a lot smaller than a regular receiver. It does also have 2 full bandwidth HD component inputs, only 3 optical and 1 coaxial digital inputs, and a bunch of S-Video/Composite inputs.

It also upconverts all video to HDMI, and any 480i sources are de-interlaced with a Faroudja chip to 480p. Its a bit older though so it doesn't support 1080p, or HDMI 1.3.

Just incase you're looking for options Probably not the best receiver on the market, but its reasonably priced coming in at less than $600.
