The Official Mid-A A/V Thread
Looks like Comcast pushed out their HD/DVR firmware patch. I'm sure it included their DST update, but it also added some new menu features. It also messed with my screen settings, so I had to set it back to 480p override. and some other things.
In case someone doesn't know how to do this. Make sure the cable box is off and just press the select button on the box itself.

Seems like a good deal, but I never priced these things out for anyone looking...

From what I've read, the monoprice.com switch gets the job done just fine. It supports 1080p, and is HDMI 1.2a compliant - So it might not work with the latest HDMI 1.3 spec which calls for increased bandwidth over HDMI for Dolby Digital True HD and DTS True HD -- But no receivers currently support either yet.

I am fairly new to the these fancy TVs, but I just bought a Samsung 42 inch Plasma and I have been reading up on the AVS forum. A lot of people are saying that you should calibrate your screen.
I was looking at buying the new DVE HD or Avia II dvd to calibrate my screen. Does anyone have experince calibrating or paid for a ISF certified Calibrator? Is it worth it?

I would say to invest the cash in Avia or DVE, but don't bother with ISF. The discs will get you close enough and ISF is really only going to show benefits in a true theater setup (controlled lighting, ideal viewing, room setup, etc).
