lacking responsibility???

dude i snuck out to get food cuz the food in school sucks. and i always return to class.

u think we'll get better food if we follow the rules and not use ours heads sometimes to rise up and stand against the administration?????????

The school can get in trouble if you get hurt while "sneaking out". Specifically when that guard allows you to leave knowingly violating his duties. Ever think about him loosing his job because he let you sneak out. I'd fire his a$$. Now why do you think the school wants you to stay on campus? Its not just to oppress you its a legal issue. You violated the rules because why follow them? Maybe because the LAW doesn't give two $hits about your level of responsibility only the schools! Your a minor and you're obviously not aware of how your actions effect others. Just pack a lunch, you can pack whatever you want to eat and not get the guard fired. WHat happens if you get in an accident or something terrible when you left school? Your parents wouldn't have a clue what happened to you or when. At least they know when your safe at school and when you should've left school to go do whatever. After you leave school its your parents responsibility for whatever you do when your in school it the schools not your responsibility. Until you turn 18 your someone elses problem not just your own. If your over 16 go get emancipated so you can be your own problem.

i snuck out. i wasn't given permission to leave... so don't place the blame on the guard for letting me leave.

and funny how ur describing me like i'm an 15 year old... and the event i admit were like years ago... and when i snuck out of school. i was already 18. so don't give me that crap.

yes i violated school policy, but not the law, i accept the punishment if caught.

but in this scenario where the school stop the kid from talking to his mom. the school is stupid for suspending the kid for 10 days. and giving a bs press conference to cover up the story..

but yea dude.

and u act like u know all the shit..

kids being safe on school? pleeze...

look at columbine. were those kids safe in school? and my parents would know where i am, why? because i always carry a cell phone on me. duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah total chaos!

Fact is my old high school (private) allows cell phone use before and after official school hours and during their lunch break. Year after year we have an 100% graduation rate of seniors and all of them go on to college.

You won't be able to say the same thing for public schools with their rigid, non-sensible rules.

Mav, lets just get out of this conversation because we are wasting our time with one person who does not listen and just spews crap and groundless statements.

exceltoexcel,
Terms like love, respect, and responsability are words that mean something different for different people. I honestly believe that if I had never seen my father and he called during a lunch break, I would pick up and nothing would stop me from doing so. Mind you that I am not you so you may feel that your lunch is more important than a good talk with someone who cares about you. As for responsability, it is my observation that all people demonstrate the same ammount throught their whole lives. What defines our personality is our experience and exposure to the world and all of the personalities in it. Responsability, in essence, is the processing ability to take what one has learned an apply it to future situations. Of course this is still all fluid but it is my belif. Oh, on a side note, the point of an argument is to stur up emotional responces. So, when you attempt to make a refutative statement again dont state the obvious, make a point.

The point is simple children lack the maturity to make proper dissions, so while one may be able to most can not. Which is why we have rules. I think we should remove all speed limits everywhere because we're all adults we can all be responsible and drive a resonable speeds at all times, right?
