Emanage Ultimate is a big hit or miss and you might have very big headaches. Defective boxes, blown engines, etc.
Check Miataforum, Elisetalk, etc.
Some people suggest even returning to Emanage Blue which is much more reliable

Going from one bad piggyback (ELF) to another one (Emanage) is a big meh ....

If you don't want a standalone, why not look into something like the Xede piggyback? But stay away from the EM Ultimate
Why do you say the ULT is a bad system I have had nothing but success with it and there are a large number of individuals up north running it on both their NA and FI cars.

It is good by design. Their quality control looks like hit and miss though. A bunch of people who had EMU in their cars migrated back to EMB or other piggybacks.

Here is some great news for you folks.
The SOT retail is being taken by Flyin' Miata. It can't get better for you. Flyin' Miata are one of the most respected vendors in the Miata community - they've been around for a long time and their service has been stellar:

On the electronics side of the things - they are currently offering the Hydra ECU for Miatas and have the new AEM piggyback for experiments too. I guess they'll do similar offerering for the S2000 community and replacing the ELF with the AEM FIC.

Am I the only one that is confused with what is going on with this kit?

It WOULD be the desired FI route for me. If it ever comes out commercially. So its now a Flyin Miata S2000 supercharger?

I don't really care if it is sold by a lego distributor as long as the bugs are worked out and it is sold by somebody.

Is there any updates with the AEM FIC? From what I've read, they're dead in the water with that...

I was planning on looking for an emanage ult, but those issues raised by mx5 just spooked me lol.

If FM picks up the kit, they will do it justice. This is exactly what it needs. Coming from the Miata camp, FM has great CS, and seem to be a very stable group.
