Figured out why Vtec wasn't engaging. I soldered two LEDs on the input and output of the emanages VTS line. The input from the ecu was firing, but wasn't coming out of the EMU. Turns out, the three jumpers for Vtec where set wrong, AND the "Airflow Input 2" option wasn't set to "AUX Out". Overall I've been pleased with the kit, and it runs very strong now, but I don't see how an EMU with an AP1 sticker on the bottom can be this jacked up out of the box.

I am also having a bunch of problems with my car around 6-7000. My car makes great power 230-250 until the vtec kicks in then it falls down and can't really recover were most of the other cars just get a dip. Everything has been check and tripple checked, so far we moved the vtec, plugs are 2 stages colder, map wack, vtec, silinoid check, replaced emanage, car gets good fuel and air, my other mods are listed below. We just sent my data log up to greddy for review. But I will have this looked at just to make sure.

If I could get an ap1 map from someone that would be great so we could just try that as well. Please feel free to e-mail me I am on my computer all day. We have tried a couple of the greddy ones already. The map will be installed by a greddy rep.

Does vtec kick at all? Mine still dips at engagement, but it's firing. I've got the jumper settings at my house if you'd like them. I was also dismayed to see my coil triggers where set to 12v and not 5v.

Yes, we can take a look at the jumper settings so please feel free to forward them. As far as vtec engaging, I will have to ask if it actually is kicking in I think it is, I am game for anything at this point. It something we can at least check off the list. It seems as if my vtec dip is more like a vtec cliff. It seems electrical related though.

Thanks

Wow all this was set wrong internally in the E manage from Greddy?
My car stunk bad After VTEC kicked in but seems to be doing better. I just get a really nasty dip in power from 6.5K to 7.5K but the car pulls really good from 4-6.5K and then 7.5-9K.

Took mine auto crossing yesterday! WOOT

They were short 50 second runs, so not much stress on the engine. I checked everything between each run and when I got home. It ran GREAT! I can't wait to see my times later today. There was an S2000 CR out there with an exhaust and racing slicks (245zr17 on all 4's!!!)
