Sorry to hear that, hopefully you can get a replacement O-ring.

For others, so you don't have this problem, use vaseline to lightly grease the O rings during install.
I would never use vaseline since it's a petroleum based product. Use silicone

install complete today! after a whole day's worth of driving and a couple of false alarms, i have found so far only one problem...

one of the injectors o rings has broken. you know the 2 o rings on the bottom of the injectors (black ones) - yea the TOP one of one of those is broken it seems. is that why there are 2, just in case? i guess i should replace it... does anybody know the sizes of these o rings?
This might help:

The vaseline thing was taught to me by a few very well known mechanics, and they knew all about petroleum/rubber. Google "vaseline on injector rings" and you will see it's a very common thing. It has to be Vaseline specifically, not just any petroleum product.

come to think of it if the orings can take gas it should be able to take vaseline. I guess I was taught from a different school on not using vaseline. Oh well something new learned every day.

Hows your turbo running BTW? I was thinking of coating my DP and wrapping it. whatcha think?

I have absolutely no heatbuildup under the hood, and the kit runs perfectly. However, I have modified my kit a bit (nothing crazy though), so I am not a good benchmark on the Greddy kits. I know what the weakspots are with Greddy kits (from my friend's RSX Greddy turbo build) so I took precations. I think coating the parts would be a peace of mind placebo, and have no effect on performance. Just my .02 though.

P.S. I don't have a vented hood.

As for the vaseline, O rings are not made of pure petroleum rubber. I fully know the effects of petroleum from all my system install experience. 90% of today's under hood "rubber" parts are not like parts of old....they are hybrid materials.
how did you modify the kit?

1)Replaced the Greddy Filter
2)Replaced all T taps with solid metal ones.
3)Used header wrap on AC lines instead of the greddy material.
4)Used a Vacuum block.
5)Used T clamps instead of Greddy screw clamps.
6)Replaced Greddy hose and couplers with 4 ply silicone.
7)Will replace return line with stainless steel hose with Earls fitting welded to the pan.

That's all I can think of right now. Gotta pop my hood and see what else I did.

i'm not exactly worried about my broken o ring. its an easy fix and i had no fuel leak the whole day (thankfully!!!). i assume thats why there are two rings instead of one. what does confuse me though is how it broke.. it was fine on the way in, and was great throughout most of the day... i cant imagine engine vibrations just ripping an o ring apart, but who knows.

It probably ripped when you pushed the rail in.
