^^Hmmm....I didnt know this. I wonder why they do it this way? Wouldnt the closed deck type of sleeves like IP be better for higher power?

I think Mike Laskey told me once that one of the reasons was better cooling and because Honda designed it that way...

Congrats Kev!! You can hit 500 on 91 Pump with this no problem!

UPDATE:

Well I now have this to put in my car in the future.. It's nice knowing I have some insurance in the garage.

Specs:

Laskey short block
Benson 87mm sleeves
CP 9-1 pistons
Pauter rods
OEM bearings with AEBS mains
You better bring a bigger stick than that if you want to beat me

I've decided to switch to a full race manifold.
I found a place that sells them for 1150 last night.

BTW full race now has their S2000 kit on sale for 4465 via their website!

You hit it right on the head Paul. There's more info on the Benson sleeves via the Laskey website (that I linked) and also Bensons own website.

Yes I'm thinking 500 plus on pump.. Mind reader!

Revenge... I've had my new BB 5965 in the car for probably two months now.

FR FTW! You should check out Tial's new water cooled wastegates, I think that would help solve the premature WG failures, I might get one...

If not, you wanna buy my 50mm WG for the FR mani? fits perfectly

Yes, i think the Full Race manifold would be the easiest to convert over from my current log. I *hoping* the downpipe will only need minor modification if any. That thing cost me over a G to make including the cutout.

You had a wastegate failure Paul? Was that why your boost was going crazy?

I wouldnt go with Tial, I trust Turbosmart a lot more.. I will however check out those new Tail gates right now.
