I guess Ill just get a new oem one or try to find a used one. Cheapest oem one I saw was around $120. Anyone know of a cheaper new one?

Search the forums real quick, I'm sure multiple people have replaced them and someone may have a part number for a cheaper one.

most tuners i have read about or spoke to dont heavily rely on the oem knock sensor. they either use it as a point of reference to make sure they are not horribly off or they just use a stethoscope style mic for true knock monitoring.

I know my Haltech has knock monitoring where it will modify timing if it starts picking up on knock from the OEM sensor.

I see... I know very little about the topic; wasn't sure if that monitoring function existed on other ECU's as well.

I guess if you're confident in your tune or if you don't use knock monitoring anyway, a cheaper alternative wouldn't hurt.
