I'll be running the EFR kit, is there anything else i need to get the ball rolling?
I won't need a BOV, or waste gate.

Any tips to get as well for the sake of safety and an easier time tuning/putting together?
Looks like someone is going to have fun.

Could anyone spare me their original box & box padding their turbo came in? I threw away the Garrett box I had and now I'm thinking about shipping out my turbo & mani to get heat shielded.

Let me know. Thanks

So I emptied my oil catch can for the first time today; looks like its doing its job. I have the PCV and crank vent ports running to it, then just venting through a filter. There were three distinct layers of liquid when it drained out... The first was clear and watery, maybe water condensation or gas? The second was a light yellow foamy liquid. And the third looked like regular oil. Is that pretty standard for the crap that collects in a catch can?

^How essential is it for us to run a catch can setup on our boosted cars in terms of track/race oriented setups vs daily drivers?

Well, let me put it this way... all that gunk that was in my catch can got there from normal/spirited daily driving and a few hours on the dyno. And after seeing it, its not stuff that I would like recycling back into my engine, lol. I think its a good call to install one, no matter what kind of driving you're doing. If its tracked at all, I think its pretty essential to help combat the right-hand sweeper smoke screen effect.

I should probably check my catch can.

I just realized that my coolant overflow doesn't have a hose in it for the coolant system to draw the coolant back to the radiator and I am pretty sure that it is constantly putting air in the system and only dumping coolant into the overflow. Does everyone else have a hose with their aftermarket coolant overflow?

Interesting. Do you happen to have a pic of your catch can setup?

As long as you don't mind the poor quality picture. Its the two 0.5" hoses coming off the valve cover, going over to an eBay special vented catch can back behind the driver-side fuse box. There's a big thread called the Official Catch Can Thread that I've looked through several times that has much better setups than mine. The new Radium catch cans are pretty wicked looking.

wut?

There's just the one little hose that connects the fill neck of the radiator to the top of the coolant overflow tank. Do you have that hose connected between the rad fill neck and the overflow tank?

Yes. I thought that there should be a hose inside the can going down to the bottom.
