You can still bleed the motor using the bleeder screw. Coolant still flows there, although it doesn't have anywhere to flow through.

Obviously this won't work if you blocked the port in between the manifold and the head.

It is very important to loop the water pump housing to the manifold bleed location. Without doing this you cannot get all the Ir out.

Refer to the billman bleed procedure

I don't have mine looped and have had zero issues. Billman's bleed procedure still works well without connecting the intake to the pump housing.

Can you explain why it wouldn't get the air out? Just curious.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I did read that the coolant will still travel through the manifold unless the right side port is blocked off (ie. hondata gasket)but I haven't looked further into this (I will when i get home from work). Even if it does get to the bleeder screw, I dont think it will flow but more or less just end its journey there.

I do refer to the billman's bleed procedure and have used it with great success. This is the reason I bring up the topic while I remove the coolant lines from TB and IACV while going boost.

also, 5thgen and rain h8ter, yall both have valid points. And I guess my grand question is will the bleader screw work with out entirley looping it back to the water jacket, which 5thgen says works from personal experience. I will look more into this and prob try it for myself.

Hello boosted crowd!! I am a newbie to this section so please excuse my lack of knowledge.

A little background: Quite familiar with S2000s. Owned numerous ones in the past 4 years. Driving style is mostly aggressive on the canyons etc and the car sees about 6-10 track days a year if I had to count, may be a little more than that. So far I have only owned NA S2000s and NA cars in general, never had a boosted car. All the mods have always been towards suspension, brakes, tires, etc.

Now I think I want to give a shot to boost. My car made 200whp and 135tq on a Mustang dyno and I think the bottle neck at this point is power. I am looking to get around 350whp and max 400whp. I don't know what torque numbers I can get. And my ultimate goal is as fast of a spool as possible and reliability too.

I am leaning towards a small turbo and more of a budget build and keeping the whole build under $2500-3000. I have been told to try a GT28, and a friend has used a BW Turbo off a Sky Redline on other cars and has been happy so wanted to see what you guys think. Even though I am on a budget, I do not want to go cheap stuff and having to end up replacing later.

Thank you all in advance.

So.......GO!!!!

I don't have much to contribute except to say that your budget is low for your power expectations... or really for nearly any FI build. For what you use your car for, and the power and spool requirements you're looking for, the new Science of Speed turbo kit sounds right up your alley.

Honestly, That's just a ballparkt number since I don't really know how much turbo setups cost and I won't really be throwing all the money all at once. I don't mind picking up some quality parts over the time span of 4-5 months and then putting them together. That won't hurt as much as spending 5-6k altogether.

And like it said in the post, the car will be driven pretty hard 80% of the time. Track use as in road racing. Not drag racing. Car probably won't ever see a hard launch in its life so I am assuming the diff and axles can handle the 350-400whp on the turns etc? And quick spool just for throttle response. I am mainly aiming more on turbo because of the extra torque? But again I don't know much so someone can may be help me with what would be more of a torquey setup?

And I am afraid of heat soak and overheating etc too.
