Reason? Many run them without issue. Has to be better than the stock unit.

Meh, I have the Mishimoto radiator and some SPAL medium profile fans (13" and 11"). Worked fine last summer and working fine so far this summer. I tried to go with the Mishimoto fan shroud w/ fans, but it wouldn't fit in my setup. The only negative I've seen so far is that I wired them up directly to the OEM wiring and there is a noticeable voltage drop whenever they come on. But my alternator is also 14 years/136k miles old too, so that probably isn't helping.

*Edit - Just go ahead and buy a Spoon radiator cap and toss the Mishimoto one in the trash. Save yourself some time.

The stock radiator itself has a huge design flaw when it comes to coolant flow through it. If you want to upgrade your cooling system, it is better to find a superior design (dual pass) then to just get a thicker, aluminum radiator with the same basic design as stock

If you have a fan shroud you should be ok. My car seems to be fine unless ambient temps are over 80F

This.

The dual pass is where it's at. Can't find the thread right at the moment though :/
