I have been running the 5.0" and 4.5" Vortech pulleys for the last 16,000 miles or so without issue. I would suspect your issue to have been either improper tension or misalignment somewhere. The lips on the ASP pulleys would help if there was some misalignment. The ASP pulleys are definately superior to the Vortech ones but they are also more expensive.

I know this isn't FI related but you guys are my family now, whether you like it or not, so deal with it.

These damn American-made engines, I never knew oil could leak out of so many places. Valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, oil cooler gasket, oil filter gasket, drain bolt gasket, rear main seal... I just replaced all of those over the weekend. But I know when I get this thing running that SOMETHING will still be leaking. My F20 doesn't have a single leak. WTF is GM's problem?!? I'm doing more maintenance to this engine that I ever did with my F20 and its not even in the car yet!!!

Thats too funny! (Sorry really) Curious... What was that on?

I talk to people all the time about these issues...they just think ALL cars are like that. I'm stayin with Honda until they steer me wrong!
