They appear to be, as I am running -10s on my setup.

I experienced this issue first hand at the track. Took the quick way and used a filler plug fitting temporarily.
Tons of oil ended up coming out from the catch can filter at high g's.

I know many of the cars above are not track driven but keep in mind this is a big deal.

Here is what the valve cover looks like underneath:

Once you inspect the baffling, you will see the complexity of the system.

The best (only fullproof) way IMO is to use the oem pcv locations.
I was thinking about this too. Although it seems most FI guys aren't getting much oil accumulation (or at least it's not being reported) venting from the sides, I was curious why hasn't anyone vented from on top, utilizing the OEM baffle (RED CIRCLES BELOW) vs the more common driver side (BLUE CIRCLES BELOW)? I wanted to do this. Would there be any reason not to, besides aesthetics?

Another cost effective option:

This uses a -12 Banjo and replaces your oil cap. Any thoughts? Anyone have experience with this?
I could only think of the "non-baffled" issue. But then again so is venting from the side of the VC.

"Used with breather tank kits.Runs a breather hose from the ' valve cover oil cap ' to the breather tank.

DO NOT use the oil cap cheat.

It's not baffled at all. I tried it once and oil spilled massively everywhere. FML!

"...filler plug fitting" <-- That's what you meant! Duly Noted!

Would you agree that welding/tapping the top of the VC would be the most effective location for a baffled vent? I'm about to drill the holes today and wanted to see if there are any downsides

No downsides to such a configuration

^ I would be concerned for hood clearance in that case.

Not sure what's the problem of using the two stock outlets.

The stock outlets are too small. My dipstick is still popping out. If your referring to stock locations for the AN fittings, it's a little tight IMO to weld a -10 fitting.
The hood clearance is a good point. I'm considering the banjo setup that z10 offers.
