ScienceofSpeed Supercharger System Updates
Hey guys...I'm stage 2ed now. I'm between 330-340HP with the SC belt slipping at 8Krpms. I couldn't get above 8psi and power dropped a lot after 8Krpms.
I'm taking the dyno pull with a grain of salt since it needs some more tuning and the dyno was different - Dyno Dynamics (the heart breaker). My belt is tightened now and I think it can be safely leaned out a little. It was a really conservative tune to start and is a tad rich. I'll take it to my original dyno for final tuning so I have a better idea of the delta. I'll post a dyno then.
I'm really happy with the upgrade...having more TQ down low is really nice and the power is still very linear.

Looking to pick up another S2K as a weekend car, and looking seriously at this SC kit.
Would the SoS Stage 1 kit, along with a full catless J's Exhaust (manifold, test pipe, FX 70RR) be enough to put an AP2 in the 350rwhp range?
Or would I be better off just going for the big-boy kit with the Hondata and higher boost?

If its under the plug in the after cooler, thats the way it should be. The aftercoolers are powdercoated not painted. So there has to be a true flat surface for the o-ring of the plug to seat against, thats why they are not powdercoated there. If it wore off in another location the clocking of the after cooler may be to high and your rubbing the hood. Can you send me a pic and ill let you know whats up? Sorry for any troubles.
side note do not wait till after you install this kit to put in an anti bumpsteer kit... lol lesson learned...
