Hey guys, I have a question. I just purchased an AP2 Greddy Kit. My 2004 AP2 has been running on a 01 ECU for a while now. I know there is modification required when converting harnesses from ap1 to ap2, vice versa. If I'm running on a 01 ECU, do I need to convert the harnesses to AP1 configuration? If that is the case, then I'll have to run on a AP1 map also. I'll get a tune regardless though. Thanks.
WOW, yeah you better talk to a tuner about that, I see multiple issues, AP2 kit, AP2 car, AP1 ecu, AP2 harness? I would think you need to use a ap2 map but a ap1 wireharness. But really you will need a new tune, I would not even think of using a can tune on your car AT ALL. TOW IT TO A TUNER or put the ap2 ECU back in and run an ap2 tune.
Thanks for your input. I'm still confused why the Harnesses would be different for Ap1 & Ap2 kits when the ECU for those years are direct plug in. Maybe I'm missing something here, please educate me! Bottom line, I would like to run my 04 Ap2 with the 01 ECU with the Kit still reason being that I just can't live with 8000rpm anymore.

the difference is in the tune/emanage setup. I can't remember exactly, but i think it was either the partial throttle tune is setup differently--something like that.

Bring the line to your local hydraulic repair shop, they can make you a new one for cheaper.

Ive tried supposedly theycant get the fitting. I'm tired of going around to shops and saying they can't do it. I'm just going to buy a new or used line.

It's def smaller than a -8. Most likely a -3.

That ebay kit looks great tough! Seems like a great way to upgrade the return line also?
