You need to 'up' viscosity because synthetic is 'thinner' than dino oil.

So should I buy 10W40 or 5W40 Redline?

What do you think Cris?

Right now i'm running 10W30 Redline but I have gone through almost two quarts added during the last 4K miles. Would switching to Redline 5W40 or 10W40 be better for me?
Going to do a change this weekend or next so I got to resolve this soon and at 10 bucks a quart I want to get it right this time.
i suggest at least a 40 weight, like i said, i used a 50 weight and it ran perfectly. I barely had to top off my oil between changes. 30 weight is the recommended oil for our cars in n/a form...the turbo is oil cooled, so the oil gets VERY hot. so yes, i suggest 40 or 50 weight for reliability and performance.

btw, the turbo is T518Z 8cm^2
i can't recall at the moment...but there's a discrepancy somewhere. The front of the install manual says 8cm, but the website and the parts list says 10cm. I think it IS a 10cm, but i'm not 100% certain w/o calling greddy for a refresher.

Where do you get and how do you install the greddy pressure sensor? I have seen a lot about this but kind find it anywhere to buy. Does it just plug and play as a replacement of the stock MAP sensor?

Also, if you use the Greddy sensor, do you put it back to it's original location on the TB and not use the MAP relocation bracket?
