any way to tell the difference between a restricted feed on the turbo inlet and non restricted? a couple of times ive got a big plume of oil smoke at start up after ive driven the car (and not necessarily hard, usually the opposite) and it goes away after a minute. thanks
I used to get this as well.. I think it was from the oil return line being lower than the oil level... I tapped the pan and now everything is fine... Not positive is this is the problem but it helped me in my case...

the restrictor in the greddy kit lies in the union fitting on the oil feed line. This is the union fitting right between the oil feed line and the turbo center cartridge. It has a smaller diameter outlet compared to a normal union fitting.

i believe the answers are NO and NO.

GoTuningTommy had to cut his ARC heatshield to fit the kit and he had to remove his ETD completely. there's just way too many pipes in that area to fit the ETD.

another thing i found out the hard way is an s2k sized oil filter only gives you 2 turns or so on the threads before getting tight. mine worked its way off the relocator and i lost 4 quarts of oil in about 10 seconds. luckily i caught onto what was going on before any damage was done besides a huge ass mess. used a standard sized filter and it works great

That's odd! I never noticed that problem. I do use a torque wrench though.

What are the cooling options, if any, that can be added to this kit? Is there any good way to keep the turbo temps in check in a road racing situation, since it's not water cooled?

Would an oil cooler be enough to keep the turbo cool during proloned WOT time?

I'm happy with the power output of this kit, and VERY happy with current used prices, but I'll be tracking my car and don't want to catch on fire!

I'm with you, and I'm very much looking forward to starting to hit my local road course on a regular schedule, but I'm in Texas and it's hot for turbo cars even without pounding on them for laps I'm looking for cooling suggestions myself.

On another note, I was planning to buy this kit and upgrade a few of the components, but am unsure as to whether it'll be worthwhile. Is the manifold too restrictive for a larger turbo? I am planning to bolt up something like a GT30R, and was unsure of if I should get a different manifold fitted in that case. Just trying to plan ahead before buying a kit, as I still dunno if I'm just better off piecing it together from scratch
