Thanks guys. I think this is the way I'll go unless one of the SC kits gets CARB certification first.

Yeah, and the greddy pressure sensor if you are tuning more than 10psi.

So i've read all the pages in this thread and it's been SUPER helpful...
Thanks Guys.

I just purchased the kit and it is in route.
I've read that best results (without much boost creep) are with stock cat and 70mm catback. My question is could i get similar results if I, instead, replaced the Cat with a HFC and ran the stock exhaust? I really do like the quietness of our cars exhaust. But i would really like to see 300whp.

What WHP could i expect to see with HFC and stock exhaust w/ a tune?

Run a test-pipe and stock exhaust if u want it to be quiet... You probably would get close to 300 but not sure if u would break into them.. depends on boost level i guess.. off the wastegate u def would not hit 300.. With boost u either get the power and the noise OR the the quiet and the less power.. Its a toss up

with hfc and stock exhaust would prob be around 280 i would think
test-pipe and stock exhaust may get u to 290-300

This is just a guess IMO

I've recall reading somewhere that running a testpipe may produce strong odor/smell...is this true or am i just making things up?

Well, my first set up with the TP did stink, now I can't smell a thing. So it may be due to the tune.
