I was told no before but that was a different rule set. I wanted to run my street car in unlimited to clinch that class.

I am sure Aaron would say no problem, as long as you pay double

I want to be able to run with passenger seat out. so I can carry more junk while going to track. I don't mind a 1/4 or even 1/2 pt. penalty. just want more space in the car.
i thought FI is 3 points

i kinda came up an idea for removing passenger seat

i just weight it 32 lbs and i remember you weight oem spare for 25 lbs and tool box for 5lbs?

so can we make people who take out passenger seat to run oem spare and tool box?

that's only 2lbs difference, sounds fair?

A few questions.

Weight reduction: So dry carbon fenders, hood, trunk and rear bumper skin are no points?

Tire: What defines tire "level"? Treadwear rating? Might be a problem for someone who buys tires for the event assuming level 1 but is told level 2 at the event.
I think our OEM hood/fenders/trunk are resonably light, so not too much advantage of dry carbon parts for thousands of dollars

I think pretty much all the top street tires (level 2) are listed there, Z1, AD07, AD08, RE01R, RE11, R1R, 595RSR, NT05, RE070

in level 1, people are welcome to input any other street tires that are slightly better than stock but not as good as level 2

if someone has tires that aren't listed, they should contact Ed to classify

Not to mention wheel spacers. Anything more than a 4mm spacer should count the same as an aftermarket wheel.
0.5 = wider than OEM wheel width or stock front/rear track (not counting camber effect)

i think this will make everything clear

ISSUES OPEN FOR DEBATE

I would like to add a 0.25 pt or so for removing passenger seat. some might want to remove it to carry wheels/tires to track. it could be spare (in case of bent wheel/flat spot), or r-comp (4 probably won't fit).
So a fixed mount 13 lb driver's seat and 3 lb baby seat in the pax side is no extra points?
The stock seat weighs around 35 pounds anyway. A difference of 20 pounds is so negligible--the difference between me last June vs now. =[

On tires, I'd say you use treadwear for unknown tires and compile a list of known tires and compounds since as you say, treadwear is mostly bs

oh yeah, I think the fractions is sorta odd. Why not just call them whole numbers. current points * 100. It's symantecs but why deal w/ fractions?

IMO of course.
