hah, I think it's just more of the "rice" factor the STI has. The big scoop on hood, the boost gauge,

much better shifting feel. On the track, hard to tell from a 5 min test drive

If you are looking for feeling and response like the S2000...it will be really hard or maybe impossible to match unless getting something lighter (Miata/Elise) or something really expensive.
However if fast times around a track is what you are looking for, the Evo X is a great car and most important it has the potential to become even faster.

You really, really, really have to drive a modified Evo. A little suspension and a tune turn the car into a beast! My poor S2000 feels so slow after driving my friends' Evo X and/or 9. I still like her anyway

I really considered buying a 06' EVO 9 or the X but then I was like WHY would I spend that much for a used car when a 2012 WRX is the same cost or cheaper.. . I completely threw out the EVO and then I chose a clean CPO 06' Silverstone S2000 . I'm happy!!

Ah, so you drove the older GD STi. I had a GD STi & I thought it was a lot of fun (for a sedan). The newer GR STi feels like a CRV.
