Mike got me this weekend. His car and driving is on point. Loved watching it out there. Happy with the pace of my car right now but still trying to catch up with it since she's much faster than my head can process right now.

Mixed bag this weekend. Continuation of some motor issues on Sat and a hateful handling car on Sun. Sat it finally decided to give me a cylinder to narrow down the misfire (#2) instead of the dead end, could be anything P0300 code it has been throwing. The plug looked fine, so I put it back in and cleaned all the connectors, grounds and coil. That said, it handled well on Sat. Sunday it was the opposite. Motor never threw a code and ran strong, but the car was an oversteering mess. Happy to take the win and Steve drove well to make me earn it.

...it makes me happy the car has pace even though it hasn't really run all that well yet this year.

Well, I'm in the process of building my BSP car. The thing is... I will be driving it to/from the events with a tire trailer behind it. With that being said, if I break at the event, I'm stuck there. I'm thinking it will make sense to have several key spare parts that are commonly broken at events... Then, I need to make sure I can get it all in the tire trailer or trunk of the car.

Right now, my list is pretty small as these are the only things that I've broken in the 10 years I've autocrossed the S2K, but would love to get y'all's thought on this subject as well.
  • Differential
  • Axles
  • Endlinks
  • Front swaybar brackets
I can see some parts being just enough to limp it home. This would be the case for my differential as my spare will be OEM... as I wouldn't think that going from Mugen 2-way to OEM will probably work with the setup.

I just saw a pic of Robert's where a rear control arm broke. That was something that I wouldn't have thought of. Is this a common failure and should be added to the list?

Any others?

Thanks,

-Dave
