Surge Tanks. Not legal
Time to start writing letters, Surge tank = a lot more economical then fuel cell. But knowing the SCCA they'll allow fuel cells but require them be made out of solid 24k gold only.
Agreed but I think they're being conservative because of safety or maybe perceived street-ability? I.e. maybe they don't want tanks of gas with loose AN fittings sitting in the trunk of a street driven car?

There's also a history of protests, etc with surge tanks, "cool cans" and fuel filters. Even if surge tanks were legal (I think this is a stretch, especially since some cars are running fuel cells in SP already and consider it a takeback), fuel cell clarification would still be good.

Anyone created a full list of every mod allowed in BSP or is that part of the witch craft, you gotta figure it out on your own and interpret the rules your own way. Is there much gray area in the rule book? A protest would suck.

I found a few online but think STR car with unrestricted wheel/tire, all the fender modding you want (short of replacing it) and use any part from any year S2000 + Any flywheel and clutch, full standalone ECU, any steering wheel, any radiator. That's pretty much all that's relevant.

Radiators aren't free. Not much to be gained there unless you want better cooling for the track...

L. Engine cooling radiators may be replaced with alternate parts subject to the following restrictions:
1. Radiator core dimensions (width, height, thickness) must be no smaller than the standard part.
2. Radiator must mount to OE radiator mounts.
3. Fluid capacity and dry weight of the radiator must be no less than that of the standard part. Installation of an alternate radiator may serve no other purpose (e.g. to allow a cold air intake passage).

Ah yes I forgot about that. I actually have a larger radiator in mine for track use which is why I was happy to see I could at least upgrade the radiator within the rules.

For an AP2 swap, can I move my head to a new ap2 block or do I need to source a complete f22c?

If they have the same stamping/part number, you can use it. however, it will need to be all AP2 components otherwise. cams. springs. valves/keepers/etc. you're better off sourcing an entire f22c.

Anyone consider running Goodyears over Hoosiers?

well, after goodyear won AS, they got my attention. they seem to be better handling heat issues over hoo hoos, but i have not driven a set yet.
I tried Goodyears last year and they had soft sidewalls and chunked early. They lasted half as long as comparable Hoosiers. Maybe I just got a spotty first run set, but was NOT impressed.

Jason had a blown shock and still beat us. That said, we as a group (BSP), need to pick up the pace. We were way off the pace compared to DSP. I'd expect that gap to close considerable next year (or at least I hope).
