...meanwhile they're consider allowing replacing the diff cover which I assume is a reliability allowance. Hopefully my cryo letter goes through. Right now every letter I've written has been shot down.
Simply keep writing them and get as many people on board. The more the better. I'm writing another one, this time explaining that the only tops available are aftermarket. I am also explaining the OEM tops are hard to find and/or extremely overpriced/expensive. I will post links for the S2000 classifieds so they cal look.

for your letter. 3K firm asking. pending sale, I wish by me, but no, I don't have the money to burn on this type of item

If you want to email me your finished letter to berny2435@aol.com, I'll also consider sending one in, using yours as a baseline. My soft top has cuts, bad enough to need replaced, and I might decide to not replace it if I can get a hard top for a descent price. My car is slowly becoming a BSP car rather than an STR car.

While you guys are at it, want to support me on my letter to allow reliability mods to diffs. Minimally cryo treatment but maybe something more?

Awesome work Robert, wish you were closer so I could throw some build parties. I am in the same boat with my car at the moment. I it apart and dont want to put it back together until I get confirmation one way or another. I want this build to be right. Was there and further weight reduction found you mind sharing? Keep us posted on the fuel cell or info to write more letters. I hope BSP gets a bunch of players with all of our setup sharing

I decided to stay with the AP2 tranny and go with bumping the revs. Im not going with the port matching route just yet. I first want to see what the larger TB, lightweight fly and E85 tune generates over my STR car. If I start messing with the head, it will be for SM2.

That is one HellaFlush fitment I certainly approve of.
This year is going to be chock full of awesome builds.

ap2 housing, proper fitment and careful torquing, arp bearing cap bolts, all is well so far. Build your diff right and you can get an edge up on reliability against competitors
hope your letter goes through regardless

Tracking #10254 for the diff letter, #10255 for the hardtop letter. I used the following link to describe many of the S2000s weakpoints and areas to strengthen...

tracking for fuel cell allowance.
http://www.sebscca.com/trackresults.php?id=9949

request for clarification regarding the s2000 and aftermarket fuel cell with oem rollover protection.
Also clarification for the allowance of material removal needed to fit an oem sized rectangular fuel cell in the stock location within 6"

marc, got fed up with waiting, car is together with oem cell. Will be tuned tuesday and tested the following saturday during a winter event.
fuel cell can always come back out in a couple hours
