S2000 STR prep resource
I'm new to this forum.but a long time autocrosser planning to build a STR S2000.My observation is that everyone that has run a stock class S2000 has been running a huge front swaybar to compensate for a weak limited slip and oversteer. My thought woulld be to go with hard rubber mounts and bushings for the differential, engine and transmission to locate the drivetrain.Add all legal means to stiffin the body, front and rear upper and lower strut bars. Then go with a shock and spring package that addresses the car's oversteer and turn in and use a more moderate sway bar package then address the car's traction issues with a true limited slip.
Ok before I ask this know that I am not trying to max out to win this class. But I like the idea that I can fit into a street tire class and still have a safe car for HPDEs.
I have not gone with a rollbar/seat setup for the last year due to the seat and interior removal limitations in AS.
My question: If I get a hard dog roll bar what interior modification can I do? Can I take out what I want be hind the front seat? Do I still need to retain stock interior but can trim to make the bar fit? Anything else that this may cause a problem for the STR class? Thanks for the help!

I believe the Gendron roll bar you are referring to is actually a swaybar instead of roll over protection.SCCA approved rollbars approved for showroom stock competition should be available from several sources but would do little to help in solo competition accept to allow you the use of a racing harness. Most require little modifacation of the interior and do look kind of cool.

so how much interior modification is allowed? I am assuming I can't take the factory roll hoops out? Can I take some of that plastic trim and hidden compartment? I though all the STS civics were stripped in the rear.

(And yes... it's gonna be a crazy winter methinks).
