Yeah, for the Sunday champ event with X-runs. I don't like getting up early after Thanksgiving day.

I put the 3/4" sway bar spacers on yesterday, and there is a ton of clearance to the steering rack boot. The 5/8" spacers should be fine, too.

I need to get my ride heights and alignment finished tonight so I can finally put some miles on this suspension and get back to my eTuning. Taking a quick test drive around the neighborhood, it definitely felt more responsive and felt like it had a lot of available grip. Only downside so far is that I think I'm scraping the catback exhaust flange on my garage entrance where it dips down at an angle.
I'm assuming the stock bolts will be too short with the spacers. What size/spec bolts did you get to use with the spacers?

I'll try to take some pics when I get these installed so ppl can judge for themselves whether they really can "flex" more...

Lemme know when I can pick up those spacers

I'm going to run the car for a bit to make sure there are no issues with the 3/4" spacer - I don't see what issues the 1/8" difference could make.

The stock bolts from memory are M12 diameter, 1.25 thread pitch, and about 1" long (thread length). The bolts I bought for my 3/4" spacers are 45 mm in length, just over 1.75", and used with a ~1/16" thick washer since the new bolts weren't flanged.

I have the new ball bearing mounts. They "feel" a lot stiffer than the stockers, at least more responsive at turn in. Definitely no give after I installed it, just the hand test (tugging on it) I noticed the stiff ness. Not sure if it translates to any real time improvement though

I like how fast the bar loads up. You don't have to worry about bushing slop or maintenance. I got tired of hacking together a perfect front sway bar and decided to just buy it I had a Saner I modified but it didn't clear the coilovers and I was tired of greasing the bushings.

well I fail for not being organized. Some one gave me a link to a mazda parts website where I could order the 06 base bar and bushing. It seems I have lost it. Could anyone post the link again please?

I think i'd rather be more focussed on actually driving and working on that whole "skill thing" more than being worried about my front sway bar mount flexing a couple thou, and how that may change my roll geometry (or whatever, insert random suspension issue here) and thus affect something else that i need to spend money on to "fix"...

K.I.S.S. theory sometimes works to...

Did you read the posts above?

I mailed Bill Gendron asking for more front bar, and specifically a 1.5" center section. He replied suggesting that I get the ball mounts before a bigger center section. His explanation makes sense to me, and the two people two posts up who have the new mounts say you can feel the difference.

yeah my main motivator to purchase was I was tired of the linkage interfereance and replacing the torn bushings. told myself if I had to replace two i would buy the new mount. Its just my engineering bling though haha.

Carbotech AX6s are super grippy and work well at cold temperatures, but they also dust like there's no tomorrow.
