There are a few things I recall doing differently when installing them on my last S2000.

-took off the sway bar/arms so i didn't have to fight to put the shocks on.
-Measured the shaft of the shock and used the closest drill bit for a more exact fit.
-set the perch for an oem ride height.
I checked that out, I was just a but confused on how to stack everything on top of the spring. I went spring, koni rubber piece, bumpstop, koni washer, top hat. sound about right?
Im double checking because the last set of shocks I put together for my miata I got a couple things switched around

ST* Re-org in the Feb fast track. Looks like the things that effect us are the new cat allowances that do away with the EPA labeling and allows disabling of CEL's relating to emissions. And the new ECU rules, it seems to me that this would allow standard piggybacks such as the greddy emanage, which will level the playing field between the pre and post 06 cars.

can you say "haltech sport 1000 piggy back tuned by the one and only jeff evans"

In to see if it happens.

on one hand this would make me very happy but on the other its another $1500 or so dollars in parts. The data logging and such would be awesome though. This could really level the playing field though

You realize it was an AP1 that did the best at nationals right?

We'll see what happens. The ideal in my mind is that the AP1 and AP2 are equal in terms of competitiveness. I'm not convinced the AP1 is less competitive right now given that it's lighter.

I would have liked to have another year to see how the cars stacked up with a higher average level of prep before having to comment on this...
yea I do, but it seemed the tracks favored the gearing of the ap1. no need for a discussion about my comment.I was Just saying that ap1's got a nice ability if this passes. When will it be "offical"

thanks,
josh

If it passes through, it probably won't be official till sometime around Nationals this year and won't go into effect until 2012.

I never wrote a letter, I don't know how or really have to time to. Plus they arn't going to care what some noob that didn't even go to nationals thinks anyways. Although this "rule" is exactly how I feel it should be. If your going to allow the ap2 to flashpro then I should be able to have the same tunning abillitys as them with my ap1. Its only fair. That would kind of be like saying "well ap1s can run headers and exhaust but the ap2 can't due to some stupid stipulation in the rules."

don't flame me, I'm just telling you how I feel about it. Not one single ap1 driver will dislike this rule. Besides maybe the cost but with the sport 500 coming out its not much more then a neo and a harness.
