Well, after pestering Hankook tires for months, the new tire size is FINALLY here, and I'm the first to get a set!

I wouldn't call Tire Rack or DTD, as there were a limited amount of tires, and from what I heard there is only one retailer that actually has these. For those that don't know, the spec on these 245s are very interesting

I don't know the specs but I do like the 255's on a 9 move a bit too much on the wheel than I like.

I am super interested. Will you be running these side by side with a 255. I really want to know which is faster.

The AWD STX and STU drivers are going to be very excited about these tires.

IIRC, the width of the 245's were very close to the 255's and should shorten the gearing a tiny bit. I'm highly considering these tires, but would like to see them side by side to the 255's before I do.

James, if you happen to run across some 255 on 9" rims, would you mind taking a quick side by side shot to see how they look next to them?

Thanks,

-Dave

From the ground to the fender edge (metal).

front = 24 1/4"
rear = 24 3/8"

With this and the rest of the setup the car is very neutral in low and high speed turns. You'll need really short shock bodies in the rear to go that low. You do not want to engage the bump stops during a turn.

Interesting that you run the front shorter then the rear, any reason for this? Or was that just how your corner balance turned out?

I have been running the rear shorter in hopes to help corner exit grip under throttle.
