S2000 STR prep resource
The AD08 comes in 255/40/17 unless they recently discontinued it. I have been very tempted by those since they are much better in the rain than rs3s, and also yokohama has contingency. Haven't tried them yet though.
They're a good tire. They are best shaved. Really popular in the STX crowd for the wrx. Just pricey.
The one thing I haven't heard much about is how they deal with heat compared to some of the other tires like the dunlop and hankooks. do they need as much heat as the hankooks to start working? Can they handle heat or are they more like dunlops in that regard?

Yea the delimitation happened to my last set of star specs. Seems like you had the new car working well at the SWdiv Glagola. I wish I could have made it down as well.
Although they only come in 245R17/40, has anyone tried Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD08s? Any opinions? They are the same diameter as the R-S3s and the width is 0.2 inches narrower according to specs on TireRack web page. A friend has run them on his Evo and liked them a lot other than the cost which is $205 each. He said the side wall is firm and provides great response compared to R-S3s and even Star Specs.
Obviously at $500 per set the R-S3 is be the best value going for the S2000.

I actually hit 169deg on the RS-3's on my friends BMW and boy they started to change eek. Will not let them get this hot on the s2k.
