OK, is it me or does using words like " they only put like 420-430 to the wheels" and "just barely a 12 second car 12.9 at around 113ish" when talking about a stock car straight from the factory seem odd???? Call me crazy!!!

how come the e55 4 door automatic runs a 12.4 with less power, hmmm. There is a nice video floating around the net with an e55 beating a heavily modded 03 cobra, beutiful.
I'm not saying the Mercedes powerhouses aren't impressive, just that "heavily modded" takes things to a whole new level with 03-04 Cobras. One reason an E55 might be able to run faster is the launch control and auto tranny, while all Cobras have manuals. An auto never stops putting power to the wheels, while any stick needs to interrupt power during each shift, easily adding a few tenths to the ET.

At the next light he gave me a big thumbs up. I just couldn't help myself and I told him the other S2000s were faster than mine. He had plenty of time to eyeball the row of S2000s so he would know what not to pick on next time.

It is sad that all car enthusiasts can not get along. I think the shelby gt500 convertible is an awesome looking car. I would consider giving up my S to have one, I was raised in a ford family, infact my family owns a ford dealership, my dad's first drag car was a 31 ford model A with a flat head v-8 in it. It was very fast back in the 60's, he rarely lost at the track. We are restoring it now. His other car was a 66 mustang Ho-Po 289 rebuilt heads, carbuerator, manifold, solid lifters etc. A perfect sleeper for the streets, looked a hundred percent factory, just did not run like one . I love my S2000 and would not give it up, it is beatiful, fast, and fun. Just what I was looking for. If I had an extra $20,000 -30,000 plus laying around things might be different. Why can't we all just get along.
