Im guessing you cant prove any of your statements, can you?
Do you really think I'm claiming to have insider knowledge of the specific parts AHM used?

Dezoris, I'm not sure why your so hell-bent on correlating this car with what "appears" to be the trend of S2000 owners here on S2ki. Last I checked, it's roughly 74-3 on the petition over in the Tell Honda section. Clearly, this car is not representative of "what we're doing". It's an empty suit's interpretation of what Joe Public wants. If you're trying to make some bigger statement about S2000 owners choosing fluff over substance, I don't really think we're any different than the rest of the auto tuning community. We just don't see the same results. Sure, I'm not making much, if any more power than I was when I was stock but I'm also not interested in spending five thousand plus dollars to see any gains.

Uhmm...one of Honda's chief engineers designed it...the same one behind the current s2k, nsx and integra type-r...hmmmm...joe public huh? Seems like the s2k group doesn't like it very much. I posted it in non-s2k forums...and everyone is raving over it.
I think the car is great for those who want a tuner car but aren't really interested or have the know how to improve the car themselves.
Honda has definitely improved upon the regular model s2k. However, they haven't worked any magic here or done anything that many independent tuners haven't already done to an s2k.
One can buy stickier rubber, a hard top, upgraded suspension parts, and body parts if one is so inclined.
One can also take out ones own AC, Radio, and soft top apparatus.
I view the CR as only good for those who don't already own and S2k or those who want a good one but have no aftermarket interest.

Meh
Still on the fence I suppose...
Was expecting at least a lil' bump in HP numbers though
...
Definately would be better in CW w/ black HT and with red in place of the yellow...
I do hope that it won't have the '4x4' look as it does today...

Thats it? Sigh no performance upgrades or significant weight.
I wonder if the CR will be the joke of the car fourms such as the new WRX is all over. This is it!?!?!?

Just lookit what Nissan is doin with the Nismo Z they announced. Like the CR, the car is definitely an improvement over the base models; however, there isn't even a 1 HP gain.
We should just appreciate the car for what it is ... a lightly tuned factory car.

I don't understand you guys.
