Definitive S2000 CR Thread
So the CR is not track-able enough for the Track guys.
It's not pretty enough for the mod-for-looks crowd.
It's not any faster for the I-bought-an-S2000-for-Drag-Racing crowd.

Overall I would rate this excersize as:

So far, what have read, people hate new CR. Have you thought that you expected too much so that when it came out, it was a hugh disappointment? - one of the reason i didn't expect much to begin with.
When I saw this yesterday, I thought it was as expected. not too much change, just points here and there. plus, this is a PROTO-TYPE! from here, they may change few things here and there. when I asked them if I can open the hood, they replied that there's nothing in it since it's a proto-type. they also had fake dash-board that looks little different from current dash board. shift knob looked more like ARC or voodoo. to be honest, it looked some what like my RED.
what I don't understand is, if you remove ST, you shave around 100 lbs. if it only saved 60 lbs, where did they use that 40 lbs? It's still hard to tell. I still love my RED and I wouldn't get it unless something happens to it.

Mmm, perhaps. I'd rate it a B for the A-Stock autocross guys, though. (On the assumption that the springs, rear swaybar, A/C and radio deletes, and extra bracing contribute to a faster lap, which on paper it should. [Shocks and front swaybar will be replaced anyway.] Not sure if the aero would make much difference...)
So I don't see it really appealing to them.
In fact I would be surprised if they did not put this car is SS, just because it's a CR.
[QUOTE=Rodan,Apr 5 2007, 12:22 PM] I am of hispanic descent and I did not find it funny.
And you are right, we have freedom of speech in this country and you are entitled to say anything that you want and make fun of anyone you like. But defending behavior that may be offensive, or doing it yourself in a public forums, is not right. Your example proves that. No reference to race, the joke was the axle snapping. The problem I have is that the joke here was that someone in this thread specifically referenced Hispanics and or Mexicans, and then you said no problem, it's a free country, it's ok to laugh at the expense of other cultures or social behaviors. That is not tolerant, like you claim to be.
I guess your redeeming quality is that you're an EQUAL OPPORTUNITY profiling jokester. This thread is about the CR, and that's percisely the reason why there is no need to make a reference to people's cultures and behaviors when talking about an inanimate object with no such associations. Let
