does that tonneau store in the trunk or does it stay in place with top up, or do you need a place to store them both. Sure makes my elec. top seem sensible at least.

A CR without Brembo Brakes!!
EVO, STI, Z, all have them. If Honda is too lazy to do something w/ the engine at least they can slap on some brembo brakes. Even the Mercedes C class have them. Cross drilled too!

the CR seems to have a huge wheel gap. for it to look good, most people will have to lower it... does that mean it'll negate the more aggressive suspension changes made by Honda? say u buy the CR and get lowering springs or coilovers, wouldn't that make Honda's tweaks basically obsolete?
that has to be one of the ugliest wings i've ever seen on an oem car...maybe a tie with the mid-90's talons.
i'm once again disappointed with them not making a hp change but Honda has done this in the past with their nsx and ap1 - ap2 change...not surprised but nevertheless disappointed.

The news hasn't been recieved so well here in S2000Ville, but other forums seem to take a liking to it. Same thing happened when the AP2 came out..."8000rpm?!?!?!?!?! Softer ride? It looks ugly." It'll be accepted in the future. And I've seen WAAAAAY more uglier modded S2k's than that. As I said, this car has been liked by non-s2k owners. Most s2k owners are looking from the inside in. But outsiders are looking at it, and it looks, well...fresh. Most people aren't receptive to change, especially with a good car like our beloved s2k. But I have a feeling people will accept it for what it is. After all, it's still an S2000.
I will say I like the tonneau cover and wing. But I like the tonneau cover and wing because what I would use it for. I plan on gutting my soft-top, but don't want a big giant hole there for those days I want to take the hardtop (when I get one) off, and ride roofless. I would like to get the wing, because it's wind tunnel tested, and isn't ginormous. So I can get some downforce, and have a wing that's still streetable (cop friendly). And, some may not like it, but I think that's one of the better looking wings on an S2k. So can't wait til they sell this seperately.

I think this will be the first time we see ricers removing wings from their cars

Call me crazy, but I like this ugly little beast. The S2000 will be heading into its 9th year of production with few changes since its inception. At this point, I'll take anything Honda gives us as long as they continue to make this little car.
The biggest disappointment is the lack of HP upgrades. Regardless, I'm excited Honda is producing it and can't wait to drive it.
Let's quit whining and be happy with what we got. Regarding the looks, get over it. The CR is clearly not ideal as a daily driver. It's a weekend toy/track car where form follows function.
Went to the NY Auto Show today to see it. After seeing it in person, I don't think it's quite the travesty that I thought based on the original photos. I still don't care for the color or badging and I still think the rear wing is fugly (no matter how functional), but the seats, dash, and rims changes are all neutral or positive, and suspension improvements are a definite plus.
Not the changes I would have preferred to make, certainly -- but then I'm pretty happy with the S2000 as is.
My buddy and I went around checking out all of the roadsters at the show, and concluded the S2000 didn't really need to be changed -- it's that good as is. Still has the best shifter feel of the bunch, a great driver focused cockpit, is fairly light weight, good maneuverability, and if not insane power then enough to do the job.
