-Official- Is this car worth it thread
A few months ago I purchased my 2008 GPW in great shape with 20,000 miles for $22k. Think I did pretty well. The second owner whom I bought it from actually bought it just several months prior as a CPO car so all that transferred over to me.
What do you think?
Best part: In Georgia no sales tax on private party sales.

There is a 2008.. All keys manuals and service records available. Has a little over 13,100 on it. Not CPO, but has 10 months left on warranty. Dealer will not budge past $23,500 plus TTL. I wanted a low mileage car, price seem decent? I need to make a decision quick so please give me your thoughts, thanks

Hey thanks for your input. The issue in my situation is that I prefer to purchase from a dealer rather a private seller.
I have spoken with many people about buying cars and even here in Georgia where there is an even larger incentive to purchase privately due to the lack of sales tax and many of them insist on buying from dealers. I think some people buy into the false sense of security when buying from dealers and feel as though they are purchasing a product that carries additional guarantees. Obviously there are the certified cars that have additional warranties. However I have seen some pretty sketchy CPO cars with severe accident damages. I am not in any way attacking you just very curious as to why some people insist on only ever buying from dealers whereas I try to avoid them at all costs. Some need the financing that they can only obtain from dealers and at usually obscene rates. What exactly is your hesitation from buying privately?
Best of luck in your search and I hope that you find "the one." The 2008s have some very cool wheels. I like mine very much on mine but I do wish they kept the silver trim accents on the center console from the 04 to 05.
Lastly, in my opinion, if i were to buy an '08 from a dealer I would look to pay somewhere around $26k out the door. I think that is a fair price. Cheers!

Any Phoenix, AZ members browsing this thread? Found what looks like a decent deal down there. But can't find any reviews of the dealer. http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/ctd/2069690719.html
