Which one would you pick?
2000 black with about 70k miles, has a blue rebuilt title, current owner has taken good care of it from what i can tell and know. the car as an exhaust and test pipe with CEL fix. asking price of this is around 10k

or

2002 yellow with about 103k miles, the lady told me it has a clean history with no accidents, idk how many owners though i need to find that out. looks well taken care of and also has a comptech exhaust. drives nice. the price on this one is about 11k. both prices negotiable a bit. the yellow one is from a dealer and the black one is private seller. Which is better? why?

Is it just me or are the prices in your area a bit higher?

I've looked around Seattle-Portland-SF Bay, and the range for the cars your looking for should be around 10K or maybe even less. I would go with the rebuilt one if i had to pick between the two cars, but again, rebuilt titled cars are always harder to sell when you decide to sell. The time taken to actually sell it afterwards is not worth it in my opinion. Better to spend the extra grand or two two get the lower mileage or that clean title your looking for, it'll be worth it, trust me

Hello,

I finally figured out where I could post my "Is this car worth it question". My apologies for the duplicative post in the Introductions forum.

So I'm considering an MY09 blk/blk with less than a 100 miles. The dealer is asking for invoice (~$32,800), but appear to be willing to negotiate from there, perhaps down to $31k (+ttl), haven't tendered an offer just yet. Granted, I have to factor in the cost ($750 ~ $1,400) of transporting the vehicle across the country as i'm in Los Angeles. I've lurked for a while here in the forums and have seen some really incredible deals, have they dried up? The bargains appear to be seasonal, and being that we're still in winter I'm hoping to still cash in on a good deal.

Therefore, your suggestions &/or comments are greatly appreciated. Thank you.

2007 S2000 $20,500 28k mi
Looked at this car already. It has some sratches, mostly on the bumper, and the owner bought it used 6 months ago, so he doesn't know much about the history. He won't take less than $20k for it, since that is what he owes. Is that too much to pay for it?

2007 S2000 $21,900 20k mi
This one looks perfect but I feel like he is asking too much. I'm worried I won't be able to talk him down below $21k and I just don't want to pay that much, unless it's really worth it.

I've seen similar cars at dealers for $19k-$20k, but with 40k mi. Since dealers are normally overpriced, I feel like these other cars are way overpriced, but I'm not sure. If that is really what they are going for than I will probably just buy one of them rather than wait for a better deal.

The front end was backed up into but seller told me it was repaired.

The seller says he is the third owner, but when I pull up a carfax report, it shows 5 owners. Can you guys help me decipher the carfax reading on this since I'm wondering now if i need to be careful since the seller said he was the third owner.

What would be the fair price? $12K?

Guys, does $12k sound good or paying too much?

any info/help on this? I'd appreciate your opinions on rebuilt blue titles as i am leaning towards the black s2000 with blue/rebuilt title. Thanks!

^^Yea its a bit high i think. I'm located in Texas. I was thinking about offering him around 8-9k? The previous owner claims a damage to the right front and they replaced the front side fender, front bumper and headlight. He also said airbags were never deployed and no frame damage...
