-Official- Is this car worth it thread
I should have mentioned in the first post that, i was planning to swapping front and rear bumpers down the road for something abit more then stock looking and thats where the scracthes on the car are. Would also have everything alligned in the process.
Im leaning towards the "03, as i much rather have black interior with the vinyl center console and the rear defroster. As for the minor problems of the second one id be upgrading or replacing them down the road regardless of which car i decide to get interms of modding the car.
You guys been really helpful helpinh me decide! Thanks

I know the 00 S2k, it is a clean car and very well maintained, the owner takes very good care of his vehicles.
They are both AP1, and the 00 has less milage and no accidents, and bonus it aleady has the Ap2 wheel upgrade! I would purchase the 00 S2K,because its a clean car, and will be easier to sell down the road...also I currently own an 00 S2K and I love it, the rear plastic wondow is no big deal imo

Although the car is very well maintained, I dont think id be selling this car down the road as it will be a fun daily to kick around that i will be modding abit so the AP2 will not affect me, already have a set of wheels in mind once i make a decision.

Maybe ill try that route before finalizing, Thanks

The first one. It has lower miles and no accidents for $800 bucks more. The second one needs body damage fixed which is expensive and it needs maintenance so it isn't a good price at all.

I made typo when making out the first post, the first car was actually 14,500 my mistake and apologies for mix up but he was really firm when i last spoke to him.
I spoke again today with owner of the second car and we were able to settle on 12,500 for the "03.
That is a 2000 difference and got even better quote for the clutch job. 750 for parts n labour a friend of friend has a shop he refered me to,
So, for 13,250 with New ACT clutch i think im gonna get the "03, Reason being its newer with the glas window, center console, and i like the red engine cover lol.

Oh nice well thats MUCH better. I have an 02 and i love the better center console and the glass window that the earlier models don't have.
Glad you decided on the 03'
all the points have been made already but personally I'm a big audio guy and the sound system sounds much better from the 02+
I remember when I owned my 00' and my biggest complaint was the factory sound system and the plastic rear window, but performance complaints though haha. Yeah, in the long run you made the right choice I believe.

I know you guys must hate these types of threads, I know they do at my other forum, but I thought I'd ask anyways.
I'm looking at a 2001 S2K, 71k miles, Sebring Silver for $11k, got them down from 12,995. Checked up at the dealership and spoke to the previous owner (60 year old professor) she has owned it the entire time. Honda service told me about the usual oil changes, filter changes, power window motor replaced, transmission fluid changed, tires. He said they never did the diff fluid which was kinda alarming to me. Also they just put a new top on it. The car had been hit on the front passenger fender, which was replaced and painted. That is the only accident she has been in with the car according to her.
Inside and out it is really clean, no big scratches or dents, just the usual for an 11 year old car.

I also asked the Service advisor about the valve retainers ever being checked and he says he has never heard of those ever having a problem...so no...
I appreciate any input/advice you guys can provide, thanks!
