I have made a tentative deal to buy a 2006 LBP S2000 with 60k miles for $17k. All stock except for a K&N air filter, no damage / salvage history / clean carfax. Two small scratches that have been touched up (about 2" long each), everything else in excellent condition. Is this a good deal? I think it is, but not sure since this is my first S2000. I'm going to the S2k from a 1989 Ferrari 348, and a Ginetta G20 (not that anyone really knows what those things are). I'm hoping for a similar driving experience but with better practicality (than the Ginetta) and reliability (than the Ferrari). Thanks in advance for your opinions / replys.

What do you guys think about an 05 SSM, Red/Black interior with 47500 miles for $18000 at a dealer. How much should I offer? It's 4 hours away though...

I've recently been searching for an S2000 and have narrowed it down to 2 vehicles. Both are the same price, garaged when not driven and both are black. Offer your opinion

Car 1:
2001
51,000 miles
GReddy bolt on turbo kit (300 miles on turbo)
GReddy ultimate tune
Blow off valve installed
Decent tires installed
OEM Hardtop
This one is titled as a theft recovery. It was stolen and the airbags were taken - insurance paid for all repairs and new bags. 2 owner and currently mature adult driven.

Car 2:
2002
35,000 miles
Completely stock
Soft top only
Brand new tires
1 owner and adult driven

i would go with #2 because not a fan of buying modded cars and the theft recovery will hurt resale value if you plan to sell it in the future

I would go with Car #2, also, unless you really want a hard top. I'm not a fan of modifying an already hot car. It'll fly just fine all stock.

car #2. Newer, less miles, new tires, 1 owner, clean title (I assume)...they probably took good care of it. It would be difficult to resell a rebuilt title no matter how clean the car is, it's not going to go for as much as a clear one.

Found another one. An 02 Spa Yellow with 56k miles asking $13900. I was thinking that I'd probably try to get $12000 or walk away. What do you guys think between the 2? is the 02 even worth it?

Thanks
