Hi guys,

I need some advice. I found an 08 S2000 black on black with 30k miles on it (Certified Used). They are asking 24700 for it, but I wanted to know what a good price for the vehicle would be. Its only flaw is that it has a slit in the convertible top. I was thinking of offering 22,500 and having them replace the top completely for no additional charge? Does that sound like I am over paying for the car? Other than that, the car is perfect.

I also was wondering if anyone has gotted the bumper to bumper extended out to 100k. Is it worth it? And do you know if the convertible tops are covered in the 100k b2b warranty?

Thanks for you help and advice...Hopefully I'll own my first S2K by the end of the week.

Wes

Hi everyone, I have been in the market now for an s2k for a few months now. Found a 2006 nfr with 43k miles for $17.5. It is through a private party and out of state. Before I drive down to look at the car I want to know if this is a good buy assuming everything is ok with the car mechanically and cosmetically. The softtop does have a small tear which has been patched up. Please let me know what you think. Thanks in advance

Doesn't sound too bad, quite honestly. For reference, I paid 20k for my 2007 w/31k miles back in may. Check the soft top patch job and make sure it was done well. I'd say the car is definitely at least worth a look. Good luck a d pics if u get it!

That is about right for an 06+. Buy a Flashpro after you get it!

For reference I paid $15k for my 06 @ 59k miles in July of last year. It had been in a 'minor collision' at some point in a past life per the Carfax so I was able to talk the owner down from their asking price of 16.

Sounds about right. Make sure you get pics before you go down to ensure you aren't wasting your time. As usual, check out the thread:

https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/775...-a-used-s2000/

about what to look for when buying used. Might even be worthwhile to buy an OBDII reader and test drive for around 10-15 miles if possible to make sure no CELs pop up.

Good luck!

Great price!

A year and a half ago I paid 19.5 for an 06 w/ 32k.
