What is the question? Car 2 seems to be the obvious choice unless you really want to take a chance on car 1 with its turbo.

Buy car 2 and have the following installed:

GReddy bolt on turbo kit
GReddy ultimate tune
Blow off valve installed
Decent tires installed
OEM Hardtop

2 because you can mod your car later and it has lower miles. Also if you decide to sell it in the future you wont have to try and sell a theft recovery.

Talk down the price of car 1 and get that.

If worse comes to worse and you need $, you can get 5k easily from hardtop and greddy kit, sell the car at a tiny discount, and come out way ahead.

I'm leaning towards car 2 anyway, but just wanted some extra opinions from owners. I appreciate the advice. Asking $15K.
Was just seeing if the GReddy T518Z-10cm2 turbo and a hardtop were worth the other "risks" associated with that vehicle in other people's minds.

....and thank's again.

Generally speaking people tend to prefer a newer model year, fewer miles, stock and clean title. There's really nothing in that list that favors car 1.

Any time you buy a car with an aftermarket forced induction kit on it you are looking at a huge potential headache. You mentioned "GReddy bolt on turbo kit (300 miles on turbo)"... if you are saying they only ran this kit for 300 miles, I would question why they spent all of that money to install a turbo then decided to get rid of the car 300 miles later.

So any opinions on the 2006 LBP with 62k miles all stock for $17k? Clean title and carfax, plus I get to fly to Texas and drive it home 1000 miles... I've got my ticket booked and should be in the driver's seat December 1st.
