what? Make up your own mind, and you'd be better off asking this in the Canadian section where they can tell you what it takes to import from the US.

So I just recently came across a 2005 Silverstone with 58,xxx miles and dealer is asking $17,999. I've only seen photos, and obviously have not driven the car, but wonder if this is fair? It seems others in the 2004 - 2007 MY seem to be going for a bit more, at leat around here (central Indiana). Any opinions would be appreciated.

Did you try private parties? By buying it from a dealership not only you're paying a much higher price but almost always the car doesnt have service records or no history behind it.

No, not yet but I will. I started with dealers just because I am still weighing a trade in or going through the hassle of selling my car outright. I've been looking off and on for a year or more, but this one just popped up. Thanks for the opinion.

Just for comparison, I purchased mine in Miami 1 year ago this week, 2005 Silverstone, 42,000 miles, great condition, stock except for Alpine head unit and aftermarket speakers with amp and sub woofer, 4 new tires ( Direezas in front, Hankook V12's in the rear), new top, clean CarFax, numbers matching. I paid $1000 more than your find. Mine was at a dealer, and because I was bringing it back to Canada, paid cash and had no interest in warranty.

Hope this helps.

Assuming the car is in great shape and doesn't need any repairs, that's not a bad price (particularly from a dealer) and they will probably negotiate with you a bit.

Another "for comparison"...2 years ago I paid $1000 less than that from a Honda dealer for my 2005 w/ 28k miles on it.

It's a good deal if you think it's a good deal. I looked around for 6 months for a clean, stock, low miles example. I'm sure there where better deals out there, but I'm happy with what I paid

I paid 17600 for my 05 about 10 months ago in Florida. Clean car fax and the dealer put pads/rotors and tires on it. It seems like they are holding their value better as time goes on.

I paid 14900 for my 05 with 51k miles back in December. The car is in GREAT shape. Interior is mint, and the paint is in great shape as well.

I got a great deal.
