That does sound a little high. But if it is exactly what you want and you are willing to pay that for it, go for it. For reference I picked up my 04 with 38k miles a year and a half ago for $17.5 this was at a used car dealership too.

Thanks for all the thoughtful replies guys. It is really hard to get a good grasp of the price of the S2000 by just looking at autotrader and kbb. It seems like everyone can agree that this car has about $2000 markup. This car is the perfect combination Ill take a look at the car in about 2 weeks and post more about it.

Also I dont think it'll be smart to trade in my M3 to a dealership. It has 111k miles, but its in better shape than 90% of all e46 M3s. Almost all mechanical parts has been changed using OE parts, and the interior looks almost new. The bumper will be painted this month as well. It might be only worth $15k at the dealership, but worth well more than $19k to a enthusiast.

I'm currently looking at a Honda dealership LBP 2006 S2000, one owner with 28xxx miles for $20,900. I'm wondering if this is a decent price or not? I'm going to shoot for $19,500 and I'd like to be OTD for less than $21,000. Any opinions on my estimation, too high, too low? Thanks for your replies in advance

Hey guys, I'll give you the specs.

2004 BB with 80k miles
1 year old OEM Hardtop
Buddy Club Coilovers
Staggered Works Cr Kais
Ap2v1 with tires
Oem Lip
Freshly painted front bumper

Perfect compression and well documented maintenance, no engine modifications.

He wanted 13 obo for it completely stock. We agreed on 15k for everything.

This seemed like a fair deal to me after looking for 6 months. What do you think?

So I have a couple US dealership down
Still deciding on which one to purchase from
So my main criteria for choosing a vehicle is no accident on carfax, and less than 3 previous owners

I reread the thread on what to look for on an S2000, and what should be included when purchasing one
Most of these car dealers don't have the following:
- Original Window Sticker
- Convertible Top Cover
- Owner's Manual
- Warranty Information
- Having just one of the two Master Keys
- Having just one of the two Remotes
- Missing valet key
- No Radio Anti Theft Card (I don't even know what this is :S)
- Key number card (Again I don't know what this is :S)
- Missing Wheel Lock Keys
- Missing Seat Lock Keys
I have at least two car dealerships that satisfied all the mentioned problems listed above.. No jokes
How important are the items above? Of course I doubt a convertible top cover or warranty information to be a deal breakers but which ones actually would be a pain-in-the-ass in the future?
How much can I negotiate down for each missing item?

I could be wrong, but I don't think Honda made seat locks for the S2000. Those would be aftermarket. And I'm sure that the factory lug nuts do not have locks.

I don't know what the key number card is, and my S is fine without it.

The radio anti theft card is very important. I'd say not having one of those or not having the original window sticker is a dealbreaker. The other items are nice, but not necessary. The owners manual can be downloaded online for free, and S2K's are reliable enough to buy as-is. I bought mine as-is with no warranty, and I have no regrets 57,000 miles later.

Just my two cents.
