-Official- Is this car worth it thread
Ok, I'm looking at a beater s2000...
I think I can get this down to $4000. I think even with all these warts, it's a deal. I think an AP2 ECU would solve the revving problem and It'd be a more upscale beater than my current 93 civic beater with no A/C =)
- Reconstructed title
- 2002 chassis with 145k
- AP2 motor & tranny with 50k
- AP2 headlights, taillights, bumpers, exhaust, wheels
- Koni Yellows, DC Header
- Revs past 8200. I thought I would hit the revlimiter, but it went close to 9000 and then went to limp home mode (3000 rpm limit). Drove strong below 8000 rpm. I wrote about the problem here
- Check Engine Light - haven't read the codes yet
- ABS Light is on
- Could use a new paint job
- Quarter sized dent on rear quarter panel. Slight rust where that paint is gone, but nowhere else
- Interior is a bit beat up. No rips, but faded leather, scuffs on dash, broken storage box

I'm in the process of buying this 2002 honda s2000 w/ 105000 miles. It lists the damages as front & rear suspension. Im just wondering would that be hard to fix or expensive? as far I can see the front and rear bumper are damaged, thats about it, no suspension damage. Below are the pictures, tell me what you think? Thanks in Advance!

I wouldn't buy this car. Suspension damage is hard to tell from pictures, but if the seller tells you it has suspension damage, I would believe it even if you can't see it. I don't see any reason why the seller would lie to you about having damage when there is not. I would save your time and look for an accident-free S2000.
Could be very expensive to fix or not expensive at all. Need to know what is actually damaged. Looking at a picture and saying that the suspension looks to be ok is not gonna cut it.
Also how much is it for sale for?

no its an aution so dealers will bid. The more bids the higher the price, sort of like Ebay. it could go $1 or $1000 or more, depends on who wants it that bad and the demand. right now the car is not ready for sale, once it becomes ready then it will go into aution and people will start bidding. there was also another 2001 s2000 w/ 81000 miles , red color and its went for $3200. it had front end damage.
