Hello,
Looking at a 2004 GPW w/80k miles. 2 owner car. clean carfax. No service history for the first owner (60k) miles. Second owner had had for 1.5 years, and has done nothing but front brake pads, and oil changes. Car had snow tires on it from first owner, and 2nd owner says they still have 80% left. Car is clean no damage except 1.5" cut in top. I can get this for 12.5k. The car is 230 miles away and I am having a hard time commiting to driving out there to look at it, or having it sent to the local dealer for a pre-purchase inspection and compression test.
What do you guys think??

So that's $13.5ish after you get the top replaced. Too high for an 04 with those miles. Way high if you are traveling to see it. Be patient and keep looking.

a buddy of mines is looking at a MY05 suzuka with 36k miles. top was patched on the inside but it hasn't torn through yet. car looks like its in excellent shape otherwise with almost no rock chips/dings/etc..
he got them down to 16,994 OTD. what do you guys think?
