Seems like it was abused and the owner didn't bother putting in the proper parts. I'd pass.

I'm looking at a 2001 silver car with 78k miles in Colorado. Car is in good condition although there is a 2 inch gash down the top of the left rear fender that is through the clear coat and there is also a small dent above the passenger handle door handle. Going from 1 to 2 feels a little notchy than the other gears so I am wondering if the synchro is going. Right now he says 14.5 is what he would part with it for but what do you guys think is a fair offer cause I don't want to low ball the guy since he seems like a honest guy.

That car isn't worth anywhere near 14.5k. Even if it was in perfect condition, at that mileage he'll be lucky to get anything over 12-12.5k.
Haha yeah I think I should do anymore than 13k. Thanks for confirming. I am looking at a silver 2003 tomorrow with 63k. Dealer sounds slightly fishy.

Yeah way too much for that car. I sold a 2000 silverstone with I think 64k miles on it with a newer top for $13k earlier this year. I would look for a private sale.

The Silverstone looks a little off as well. Rear driver side bumper damage, scuffs on front bumper. The seats are wrong as you suggested. 06+ had the new style headrests. So, it might have been broken into, who knows.
What pictures are you looking at? Those look like 06-07 seats to me. Can you see red thread? My pictures don't have that level of detail. Trashed fenders on the white one? We gotta be looking at diff cars.

Thanks. Do you guys think this still has a lot of life left as a daily driver?

I looked at the other s2k (2003 silver stone with 63k) which was in excellent condition. It has a comptech icebox so it was probably put through the revs a bit. I offered 14k barring it comes back problem less from the mechanic. Here's the listing so what do you guys think?

That's a good price considering it has a hardtop that's worth about $3500.

It doesn't come with a hardtop. They said it got stolen and reduced it from the 18k they were apparently asking before
