06 Laguna Blue 36k miles asking 21k (dealership)...but carfax shows it was repossessed and sold at auction? Would this still be worth checking out?

I was slightly considering that one. I don't think it being repossessed has any ill effects. All that means is the owner couldn't make the payments and the bank/ lien holder took it back. It looks to be in really good condition.

 

Ok so here's my 2nd attempt at buying. PLEASE give your honest input on this one. It's a MY02 with 100,000 miles on it. I drove it, drove extremely well. Got the dealer down to 10,300 on the price only concern is the miles.... But it's a Honda so I think i am ok with higher miles. Pending a good pre purchase inspection, is this a good buy?

i was watching that one as well. price has continued to go down. I didnt even bother to look at it because when i called they really didnt know anything about the car, and anytime i asked if there was any issues, their response was "its showroom quality" haha

If you can go check it out, id be meticulous when checking the car from corner to corner. but if it checks out, its a great price.

 

If car is clean and you like it then sure. Mileage is tricky. I know cars with 25,000 miles on em that are beat to shit, and some with 70+ that are show room quality, so dont go just on mileage. also, read about what to look for and/or change on AP1 model years (banjo bolts, etc) and if you understand that and still love the car go for it. Dont just buy it to buy it. you gotta love it.

This...get the one you want...10k for well cared for 100k miles is fair...most around me are asking 12-14k for that.

 

its only about 30 mins from me...so ill prob check it out today or this weekend and see how it looks. hate buying from dealership though.

First time buying a s2000, been reading up a lot on the inspection list but was wondering if this car is worth the price.
Its a 04 S2000, 40k miles Suzuka Blue from pictures looks in great condition. Carfax is clean. And dealer has it at $18500.
Is it worth it? Thanks!

I was wondering if you could share your thoughts about this s2k.

It has done only 40.000km (about 25k miles) according to the owner. It is said to be in very good condition. The owner will allow any professional inspection.

The thing that worries me is the engine bay.. it is blue, while the car is grey. Also, the 's2000-logo' near the side indicator lights are missing. My assumption is it is repainted. Am i right?

The asking price is 12.000€.. Which is quite reasonable in comparison to the prices here in Holland (cars and gas are madly expensive here
