-Official- Is this car worth it thread - vol. 2
I think thats a good price. The hardtop alone is worth 3-3.5k so its like youre getting the S for 17k, which considering the 21k miles is worth it. As long as the car is in mint condition inside and out, I say DO IT!
That's how I looked it. If it didn't have a hardtop it would be worth. 17k and it blue booked without the hardtop for 23,500. I really wasn't in the market for an s2k but I miss owning one and a deal like this is hard to pass up.
Been looking for another s2k for a while now and ran across this.

I know the original owner (late 60s) and he took very good care of it. I took it out for two hours Friday and everything checked out. Here's the thing, its 4k over my budget, so, here I am posting this.

They said they would "come down to 15.5" so I walked but left them with the option of coming back if they cant hit the 14's.

It's 10 days later so dunno if it's still around but for $5500 and all it needs is a motor... Figured that's a cheap low mileage S, wish I could flip these things

Found this recently, I know it has ended but you should be able to still see the details. Anyways the car was local so I wanted to check it out.
Been texting the guy this week and he wants 11500 for the car but I think I can get him down to 10k-10500.
Anyways it all looked good and all the info seemed legit but when I said that I would like to get a compression test done on the car before I buy, the guy got all defensive and said he wont allow me to do the test.
Now to me that was suspicious of him but maybe I am over-reacting, but in the engine bay pic the valve cover looks to be painted so that raises some questions.

Yet I do not want to risk buying a s2000 with a bad engine so what do you guys think?
