-Official- Is this car worth it thread - vol. 2
Welcome. In addition to reading the threads with all the rich inf. on s2ki, get the cleanest one your budget allows. Also, take your time. Patience is rewarded when looking for your s2000. Try a privately owned example with good maintenance records. This is great community with outstanding members.
Seems like the soft top doesn't go all the way down.
Also has an AP1 centre console
And the bolster and steering wheel are beat up it seems.
Seats are not original either (black seats came with it)
Nothing catastrophic but stuff to keep in mind.

That one doesn't look like a great example of a good used 2005.
In addition to it having an AP1 console, those seats were not the ones that came with the car (there were no cars built with just blue seats and everything else black)
Wondering if it was a theft recovery and repaired or just owned by someone who didn't care.....
I'd keep looking--- patience will be your friend--- you will find a good one at the price you want to pay--- just may take some time....

Hi guys,
I'm new here from the ft86club forums. I was a FRS owner for a little over a year and a half now and I've decided that it just wasn't the car for me. Ever since I was young I've had a passion for s2000s in the Need For Speed games, and I'm going to pursue that passion. Meanwhile saving some money and getting a Harley
.
Anyways, here is the potential AP2 that I've been eyeing. I'm not the greatest of all mechanics but I know a bit of the basics and I definitely want to learn more. I've viewed the long thread on "What to look for when buying a used s2000" but what are the most important things I should be looking at before I buy the car and it turns into a cash dump that is undrivable?

Thanks,

First post here but have lurked for a while. I'm looking at an 02 S with 85k miles on it. Silver with black interior. 3rd owner has it. No wrecks that he knows of. It has a factory hardtop. Some curb rash on the front lip, minor door dings, but no major damage. Hopefully going to look at it tonight. Valves were just adjusted too. He is asking $11k which I think is a good deal if it checks out, mostly because of the hardtop. What do you all think?
Hi Gang.
I'm looking at a 2007 NFR with 53K miles on it. Seller is asking $15.2k.
Current owner is third owner. The first owner was involved in an accident involving the front fender which was repaired.
What do you guys think?

Also you should look into how serious the accident was ($ to fix it)
See if the VIN tags match elsewhere on the vehicle.
And then I think the price would have to be lower, for not much more you can get an AP2 with a little more mileage and no accidents if you look hard enough. Maybe not a red one but still...
