I asked myself the same thing and suspected that it was a trade-in for a vehicle they had on their lot. I'm hoping that's what the case was, at least. If they get their hands on Elise's as well, I'm sure they commonly get some nice rides through their lot.

Oops. Just saw my typo there. Meant marital, not martial. I'll blame autocorrect.

But yeah. It gets a bit trying on one's patience with the woman-shopping-for-a-sports-car comments from the sales guys. I have a few stories about car shopping, but it's not for this thread.

Capt.Midnight,

That 09 GPW has been on the market for at least a year, if not more at more then one dealership. Another member had asked about that car in this thread few pages back.

The genious who owned that car before, had all four fender rolled/pulled and the quarter panels are buckled inward. Way to ruin one of only 41 produced that year in gpw.

Fuuuhhhh. That hurts my heart to hear.
I wonder, if that was the only major damage done if it would be feasible to replace the fenders given the dealership would agree to a good deal on it, like roughly $22k.
That would take soo much work, though.

Okay, another one on my endless search

http://www.simshonda.com/auto/used-2...33-wa/2335861/

Thoughts on this one? It's about 1.5 hours North and while its not the color I'm looking for it looks pretty clean.

Also, I get that rotors rust but one of the pictures makes the front left rotor look terrible. Anything to worry about?

Being the PNW it's bound to happen. That car has probably seen more rain than shine. I've been looking at it these past few days though, even contacted the dealership. It looks nice and untampered with. The interior looks fantastic. I'd still talk him down on the price, though

Been eyeing this car for the past couple of months now and they recently lowered the price until 12/31/14.

Thoughts?

I'd love check the car out in person, but coming from an automatic '91 Integra that I've never worked on and only used to drive to and from work/school, I wouldn't know what to look for or even be able to test drive it.

Ryshoe, I checked out that car. I'd stay away to be honest; stay away from the whole lot. Especially being that you wouldn't know what to look for, this guy will try to walk up and down all over you for the sale. I drove the car--it rides nice, but there is some strange rattling coming from the rear, and the car is not stock; at the very least it has an aftermarket exhaust installed. He also has the yellow S2000 for sale which I also drove. Have you ever driven an S2000 before? If not, maybe you could go down to the lot on Fulton Ave. and test drive them just to get experience and to see what they feel like before you test drive others. Also, both of those cars have been for sale for months. He has been steadily lowering the prices.
