If the 09 had the red interior, I'd say go for that. It's such a nice shade of red.

And I don't see anything wrong with overpaying for the car you want. I paid over market "value" on my 08 GPW & 09 GPW. My 08 only had 7,700 miles at the time of purchase, so I definitely paid for that. But without a doubt, if well taken care of, the GPW will hold it's value more over time.

I said 2009 for rarity.

However, the true answer depends on what you are planning to do with the car.

If you are going to garage it and drive it very little, the 2009 is your car.

If you are going to drive the car as it was intended and actually make use of it, either get the 2006 or hold out for a less expensive S2000, they are out there.

2001 silverstone w/ black leather interior. 87k. Unmolested and women owned for 8 years. Used as her weekender car. Regular maintenance done.
Negatives:
Garaged for past 2 years
Ripped soft top
Dent/scuffed under passenger running board.
Asking price is 13k obo.. But with deduction of soft top, the couple negatives, and the owners need for cash. The MOST ill pay is 10k, but ideally want to spend 9.5k. Seem fair?

Hello everyone. Found this forum in search of a car for me. After looking through many cars, I've decided to get an s2000.
I saw two postings in craigslist and would like to ask for your opinion on them. Both are salvaged and 100k+ miles

http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/cto/3593252805.html

Lastly, Is it practical for me, 20 y/o, to have an s2000 as a 2nd car? currently own an auto '92 accord.
Thanks.

It says asking $16k in the ad so if you can get it down to $12,000 with those parts and it checks out in person, thats a really good deal considering its low mileage.

I would jump on it just because its a very low price for that mileage as long as its a clean title and everything checks out in person thats a steal, especially if you negotiate it further down from his asking price.

Hey guys, need an opinion.
I'm searching for an s2k and stumbled upon a 2004 one that is black.
It has 117xxx miles on it, clean title.
Asking price is $13,900, do you guys think it is worth it? It is cheaper than kbb price by a few hundred
