So, it's between this and an '03 Tiburon V6 GT. I own the same car as my current, but have $4-5k in maintenance repairs that needs done. So here are my choices:

S2000 MY00
$10,500
66,000 miles
Dream Car
Great Condition

Tiburon GT MY03
$5,500
23,000 miles (really low)
Great sound system (subs, amp, speakers)

The wife wants me to get the Tiburon, and wait a couple years for the S2K after I knock out the remaining $10k worth of school loans I have and get more funds. What do you "totally unbiased" guys think?

Listen, I got my 2002 about a year ago from a Honda dealer... 1 owner with 54K miles and I paid $14k. I am bringing it in to the shop on Saturday to get front end resprayed. These cars are worth preserving and for $10500 you get the Genesis.... the original in fantastic shape and low mileage. JUST DO IT......

It'll probably sell before you make a decision at this rate. That car's a steal, here it'd be worth $14k with a tiny bit of work.

Comparing the Tiburon to an S2000 is like comparing a Mustang to a Ferrari IMO. You might not have the chance down the road, I'd say get the dream car now.

It appears the front bumper lip is cracked and the front bumper has been resprayed.

It's stanced. Looks cheaply put together. Crappy fenders. Cheap aftermarket paint job. Horrible pictures and description sounds like it was written by a 13yr old. Stay away from it. These are all clues as to how the car was taken care of. Keep searching, be patient. The right one will appear.

Any opinions on this one? I was really looking for an 06-08 with lower mileage (preferably ~30k) but went to look at this one and it seemed pretty clean. I looked at it on Wednesday and am going back tomorrow to see what they will go down to on price. The problems I saw were that the seat bolster was sort of worn/squished (normal), the top had a few worn spots, and they repainted the front bumper (poorly)/didn't even take the time to mask the side vents (that really bothered me, I mean it takes probably <5 min to mask that properly.. How lazy can you be..?)

Any opinions on price? I was thinking <22k otd and I would seriously consider it.
